PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are seeking Industrial Engineers that would analyze, design, and improve business processes, production systems, and operational workflows to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. They identify process bottlenecks, implement continuous improvement initiatives, optimize resource utilization, and drive productivity through data analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Interface with the engineering and project teams and external customers and suppliers ensuring that all the manufacturing capability requirements are recorded and understood
• Influence the direction of required manufacturing strategies ensuring that all the product requirements are included and will be met
• Manage interfaces between internal facilities and external partners, this includes supply chain, ensuring that all the capabilities are mobilised to deliver the plan in the most effective manner
• Work with internal and external research bodies and teams to develop new or existing technologies.
• Collate data including OEE data and complete capacity/Utilisation Statement. Use OEE data to drive continuous improvement increasing equipment performance and reliability
• Create Process drill down \& gap analysis and identify improvement activities to minimize waste in processes/Method of manufacture
• Carry out value stream mapping on key processes
• Perform root cause analysis to identify Failure modes / Waste elimination ideas and corrective actions with CFT on Key failure modes/Waste elimination
• Complete an Improvement Activity that demonstrates application of Equipment Improvement tools to increase reliability and availability.
• Use specific Virtual Manufacturing analysis tools and resources to be applied at the appropriate time to support Safety, Quality, Productivity improvements as required
• Leading productivity and equipment improvement activity within a facility
• Coordinate in sharing the best practices within community of practice.
• Has ability to write Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for any local process or assisted supplier creation of SOP
• Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination and continuous improvement

Work Experience

COMPETENCIES \& SKILLS

• Experience in project management (including management of cost, risk, time and change), particularly in a quality and safety critical environment in a highly legislated sector
• Extensive and detailed knowledge of manufacturing and measurement processes
• Practical engineering experience within a high technology environment with exacting quality requirements.
• Sound knowledge in measurements system analysis (MSA)
• Have the ability to manage complex projects with multiple cross-functional interfaces, have good written and oral communication skills, and be capable of working with the minimum of direction.
• Innovative, curious, able to deal with ambiguity and motivated to think out of the box
• Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment

EDUCATION \& QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate in Industrial/Mechanical Degree or equivalent work experience
• Should have background on Quality Management Systems
• Minimum 7-10 years Manufacturing Engineering experience

IT SYSTEMS \& SOTWARE SKILLS

• MS Office tools: MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project.
• Software: CAD Tools (NX) ERP System (SAP), MES(Simatic IT, Solumina)
• Visual components, Solidworks, Ansys, Dassault Systemes-3 D experience.
• Analysis tools: Minitab14 and
• Product Lifecycle Management: Siemens Teamcenter / ptc Windchill / Dassualt Innovia
