PURPOSE OF POSITION
To enhance the energy performance and sustainability of Geberit’s sanitary ceramics manufacturing operations by developing and implementing efficient, practical and innovative energy solutions. In collaboration with production sites and international stakeholders, the role contributes to process optimisation, decarbonisation initiatives and the achievement of the company’s long-term energy and CO₂ reduction goals.
MAIN TASKS
- Analyze industrial energy systems and identify opportunities for energy and CO₂ reduction.
- Develop and validate energy balances and support technical evaluations.
- Evaluate technologies, supplier proposals and investment opportunities.
- Support production sites in the implementation of energy efficiency and decarbonization projects.
- Contribute to the development of energy management standards and best practices across the division.
- Support the transfer and replication of successful energy efficiency solutions across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Prepare technical analyses and recommendations for investment decisions.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Engineering, Thermodynamics or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial engineering experience in manufacturing environments, preferably related to process engineering, utilities, energy systems or energy efficiency.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial energy systems, utilities, process optimization or energy efficiency.
- Experience in evaluating technical solutions and working with suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills, hands-on engineering mindset and the ability to communicate technical analyses and recommendations effectively to production sites, engineering teams and management.
- Knowledge of ISO 50001 and energy management systems is an advantage.
- Excellent English skills.
- Willingness to travel within Europe (~25%).
