About the Role
Our client, Midea is looking for an experienced Logistics/Import-Export Coordinator to join our team in Chonburi, Thailand. This role manages local trailer transportation and customs clearance operations, service provider relationships, and cross-functional coordination with factory and logistics management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of local trailer transportation and customs clearance service providers in Thailand; build and maintain a high-quality vendor pool and continuously evaluate service performance.
- Monitor daily trailer transport and customs clearance progress; resolve delays, damage, or other exceptions to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate monthly account reconciliation with service providers, follow up on invoices, and submit payment applications, ensuring accounting accuracy.
- Partner with the Logistics Manager to optimize reporting processes, establish service standards, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Liaise with factory teams to gather logistics requirements and develop tailored logistics solutions.
- Coordinate the development of import logistics SOPs and support related information system implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above; logistics or international trade major preferred.
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese required to coordinate with Chinese management and headquarters teams.
- Minimum 4 years of logistics management experience in a manufacturing environment; prior logistics experience in Thailand strongly preferred.
- Working proficiency in English or Thai; able to independently communicate and coordinate with local service providers.
- Experience in service provider bidding/tendering and account reconciliation; strong data sensitivity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Willing to relocate to and work long-term in Thailand; adaptable to a cross-cultural work environment. Prior experience working for a Chinese enterprise abroad is a plus.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Thai work visa (sponsorship provided).
