IBM webMethods Developer

We are seeking an experienced IBM webMethods Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of integration solutions on the IBM webMethods platform. Operating at a mid-to-senior level, you will be responsible for building and managing Integration Server (IS) flows, API Gateway configurations, and Universal Messaging (UM) implementations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable web services and messaging solutions, including REST, SOAP, and GraphQL, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

Required Skills \& Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience with IBM webMethods platform, including Integration Server (IS), API Gateway, and Universal Messaging (UM).
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and GraphQL endpoints.
• Strong experience with webMethods Flow Services, Java Services, and Adapter development (JDBC, SAP, JMS, etc.).
• Experience with Universal Messaging (UM) concepts including channels, queues, topics, and durable subscriptions.
• Hands-on experience with webMethods API Gateway, policy management, OAuth2, JWT, API versioning, and developer portal configuration.
• Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Good understanding of enterprise integration patterns (EIP), messaging architectures, and ESB concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple integration workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders effectively.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, including experience in technical documentation and stakeholder updates.
• Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Structured thinking with the ability to analyse, design, and implement complex integration solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on government or large-scale enterprise integration platforms.
• IBM webMethods certification or equivalent integration platform certification.
• Familiarity with MicroServices architecture and containerised deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to Azure cloud-based integration platforms.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as webMethods Optimize, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
• Experience coordinating with external stakeholders, vendors, or multiple delivery entities.
