HR Manager

We are an SGX Mainboard-listed electronics manufacturer seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function at our manufacturing plant in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of HR while partnering closely with plant leadership to support business growth, workforce planning, employee engagement, and operational excellence. You will lead an experienced HR team and manage HR operations for a large manufacturing workforce comprising both production employees and white-collar professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full spectrum of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation \& benefits, payroll, learning \& development, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with Plant Management and business leaders on workforce planning, organisational development, succession planning, and manpower strategies.
  • Lead HR operations for a large manufacturing workforce, ensuring compliance with Malaysian labour laws and company policies.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster positive industrial relations and maintain effective communication with employees and management.
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee performance management, talent development, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement programmes and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage HR budgets, reports, HR metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure HR compliance with statutory requirements and support internal and external audits where required.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing the full spectrum of HR for a large workforce of approximately 1,000 employees or more, including both production operators and white-collar employees.
  • Experience in the electronics, EMS, semiconductor, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing industries will be highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation, industrial relations, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead HR teams and partner effectively with plant leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience driving HR transformation, employee engagement, and organisational improvement initiatives will be an advantage.
