Highly Skilled Mechanic

Job Summary

The Highly Skilled Mechanic shall be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, repair, inspection, and related activities on mechanical equipment used in the power and process industry. The candidate should be capable of working independently, understanding assigned jobs, and guiding a group of workers when required.

Language Requirements

• Should be able to speak and understand Hindi, Urdu, or English.

Key Responsibilities

• Shall be able to maintain tools and machines issued for the job.
• Understand safety requirements and employ safe working practices.
• Comply with the Client’s safety rules and regulations.
• Carry out maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, gas turbines, boilers, and steam turbines.
• Understand assigned jobs easily and execute the work independently.
• Guide and support the group working along with him.
• Coordinate and work with teams comprising Foremen, Crane Operators, Forklift Operators, Mechanics, and Skilled Helpers.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Follow all work instructions, permit requirements, and site procedures issued by the Client.

Experience and Technical Requirements

• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in the power/process industry or suitable skills and technical knowledge.
• Should be experienced in working independently on mechanical equipment such as:
• Pumps
• Compressors
• Gas turbines
• Boilers
• Steam turbines
• Must be able to understand the job easily and guide a group working along with him.
• Should possess sound technical knowledge of mechanical maintenance and equipment.

General Conditions

• Should have valid visas and all necessary documents.
• Should report for duty in proper uniform and with the required personal protective equipment, including:
• Safety helmet
• Safety shoes
• Proper gloves
• Other required PPE
• Should be punctual and must not remain absent from work without a valid reason and prior permission.
• Should work with the Client’s teams comprising Foremen, Crane Operators, Forklift Operators, Mechanics, and Skilled Helpers.
• Should be medically fit in conformity with the regulations laid down by Dubai Municipality’s Health Department.
