High School Tutor

Scholars of Edmonton South is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Part-Time High School Teacher to join our team. As a teacher at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both academically and personally, by delivering high-quality instruction in a variety of subjects. You will be responsible for teaching students in subjects such as Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and more, depending on your qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be trained on Scholars' unique teaching methodology.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Alberta Teaching Certificate is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching high school students is an asset.
• Ability to teach Math, Science, English, and other subjects relevant to the Alberta high school curriculum (up to Grade 12).
• A passion for teaching and helping students reach their full academic potential.
• Exceptionally organized, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt lessons to individual student needs.
• Ability to teach small groups (up to 3 students) and create a positive, supportive classroom environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Alberta high school curriculum for subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language Arts, and Social Studies.
• Comfortable using technology to enhance learning and support student engagement.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Availability:

Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two shifts per week within our hours of operation below:

• Monday - Thursday: 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
• Saturday: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
