HGV Class 1 Driver Tramper

Overview
Due to growth We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team as soon as possible. Family run business where you will be trusted and valued to work independently.

UK Tramping role

Class 1 Driver wanted for internal Fridge work to start Asap.

Based out of Leeds, mostly RDC work.

Mixture of days/nights, Work days can vary with some weekend days included.

5 Days one week/6 Days the next with some flexibility on days.

Duties

• Conduct pre-journey safety inspections and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before departure
• Deliver goods to clients and distribution centres across designated routes, adhering to scheduled timings
• Secure cargo effectively, ensuring safe transit during transportation
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
• Maintain a professional demeanour when interacting with clients and colleagues
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including compliance with driving hours and rest periods
• Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management for resolution

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence
• Proven experience as a commercial driver
• Fridge work desirable
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary

Pay: £47,520.00-£51,000.00 per year
