Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks safely for transportation of materials and products between factory, construction sites, and other locations.
- Transport precast concrete products, construction materials, equipment, and other assigned loads.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials to prevent damage or accidents.
- Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and instructions from the Transport/Operations Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, deliveries, and vehicle-related documents.
- Follow UAE traffic laws, company safety procedures, and HSE requirements at all times.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and safe operating condition.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, delays, or other incidents immediately to the supervisor.
- Assist with loading/unloading activities when required and where safe to do so.
- Ensure all required vehicle documents, permits, and licences are valid and available.
- Perform basic checks of tyres, brakes, lights, oil, coolant, and other essential vehicle components.
- Maintain professional behaviour when dealing with customers, site staff, suppliers, and company employees.
Requirements
- Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence – Mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Heavy Truck Driver; experience in construction/precast is preferred.
- Good knowledge of UAE roads, routes, and traffic regulations.
- Experience transporting construction materials or heavy loads is an advantage.
- Ability to follow delivery schedules and work independently.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Physically fit and safety-conscious.
- Clean driving record preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience with construction, precast concrete, ready-mix, building materials, or heavy transport will be an added advantage.
