We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Health IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex healthcare technology initiatives.
Health IT Project Manager I
Summary: Oversees and ensures EHR-related projects adhere to standard processes and project management best practices. Performs technical and administrative functions across all phases of the acquisition and contract lifecycle for IT initiatives that support the modern EHR.
Location: Remote
Salary $167,000
Duties:
- Oversee project management activities for IT and health service projects, ensuring compliance with federal and agency standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to support the provision of medical care and development of program initiatives.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support responses to congressional inquiries and other high-level communications.
- Provide input for process improvement and policy development.
- Maintain project records and ensure accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Years of Experience required:7 years
- Project management experience required.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise managing enterprise Health IT programs consisting of multiple interrelated projects spanning clinical, technical, and operational domains.
- Advanced knowledge of program governance structures, including executive steering committees, decision forums, escalation paths, and performance reporting.
- Proven ability to develop and manage integrated program schedules, dependencies, and cross-office coordination among HASO, DAO, SDO, PMO, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks, including resource constraints, integration dependencies, and operational impacts.
- Experience producing executive-level briefings, decision memos, and status reports tailored to senior leadership audiences.
- Demonstrated skill aligning program outcomes to organizational strategy, regulatory requirements, and mission priorities.
- Ability to operate effectively in environments with evolving requirements and shifting priorities.
