Health And Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Must possess a valid DOSH Green Book
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and all relevant local regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site safety and health management systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis.
• Conduct safety induction training for new workers and ongoing safety awareness programs.
• Monitor use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety compliance among workers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with contractors, site supervisors, and project managers to ensure safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
• Prepare and submit safety documentation and reports to management and regulatory authorities when required.
• Lead emergency preparedness planning, including drills and evacuation procedures.
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Registered Safety and Health Officer (Green Book) with DOSH (preferred/mandatory depending on project).
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in construction safety supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction site hazards and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and industry safety standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct training and lead safety briefings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on construction sites and under pressure.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
