We develop high-quality linguistic datasets, NLP research frameworks, and language analysis systems that power next-generation AI applications. We are looking for a Head of Linguistic Research (Lead NLP \& Language Intelligence) who will take ownership of our research direction and language data strategy. This is not just a supervisory role—you will define how linguistic research is designed, executed, and scaled across multiple projects. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of linguists, data analysts, and annotation specialists, ensuring that our language systems are accurate, scalable, and aligned with AI development needs. You will act as the bridge between research theory and real-world machine learning applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Research Strategy Leadership: Define and execute the linguistic research roadmap across NLP, annotation, and language data initiatives. Ensure alignment with AI and machine learning objectives.

Team Leadership \& Development: Lead and mentor a team of linguists, NLP specialists, and data annotators. Conduct performance reviews, guide research methodologies, and develop team capabilities.

Language Data Architecture: Oversee the creation, structuring, and validation of multilingual datasets used for AI training and evaluation.

Quality \& Research Standards: Establish linguistic guidelines, annotation frameworks, and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and product teams to translate research insights into production-ready systems.

Advanced Linguistic Analysis: Conduct and oversee deep linguistic analysis for computational models, including syntax, semantics, and discourse-level structures.

Stakeholder Communication: Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership with clear, data-driven rationale.

What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 8+ years in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, NLP, or Language Data Research, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or head-of-function role.

Academic Background: Master’s or PhD in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or a closely related field.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of NLP systems, language modeling, annotation frameworks, and dataset development for AI training.

Leadership Ability: Proven experience managing research teams, defining workflows, and scaling linguistic operations.

Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex linguistic concepts into clear, structured insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Mindset: Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented. You understand when precision is critical and when scalability is the priority.
