The Role
As a
Graphic Designer for Menswear
, you’ll be the strategic and creative force behind the visual identity of our collections. Your mission is to blend global street-style, typography, and cutting edge illustration into high impact graphics that define the Next man’s wardrobe. From elevated branding and vintage typography to bold, trend-led prints, you will evolve how graphics come to life across casualwear, jersey, and sweats.
By bridging the gap between raw creative vision and commercial production, you’ll make a tangible impact on the range alongside a team of Designers, Buyers, and Merchandisers.
Our Designers here at Next are always looking forward. Looking for that Next thing, focusing on trend and pushing the boundaries of what we can offer our fantastic customer base. Working as a key part of the critical path, you will create new, innovative artwork that sets our collections apart.
What You’ll Take On
As one of our Menswear Graphic Designers, you’ll design one of our most visible and high volume product areas. You are the creative engine that transforms global street-style into the elevated, versatile graphics our customers love, ensuring every print and embroidery reflects the premium quality and effortless aesthetic of the Next brand.
In this role, your day-to-day will involve:
Collaborate closely within a dedicated Graphics team, working alongside our existing Graphic Designer to brainstorm concepts, align design directions, and deliver cohesive seasonal ranges.
Create and deliver innovative, trend-driven graphic designs and CAD work that align with the NEXT brand identity and commercial strategy.
Partner with Buyers, Merchandisers \& Technologists daily to ensure designs meet price points, production capabilities, and sales targets.
Translate global trend forecasts into practical, commercially viable product graphics and prints.
Manage multiple design briefs simultaneously, ensuring all technical specs and CADs are accurate and delivered to strict critical path deadlines.
What You’ll Bring
Menswear Graphic Expertise: You have a solid background in menswear apparel graphic design, with a deep understanding of how artwork translates onto fabric. You know the nuances of different print techniques (e.g., screen print, high build, puff, discharge) and how they react to various washes and fabric weights.
A collaborative mindset: You thrive working closely with another designer and cross-functional teams, openly sharing feedback and ideas.
Commercial awareness: An understanding of the NEXT customer and the ability to translate high-fashion trends into high-volume retail successes.
Technical skill: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) with a strong track record of producing accurate, factory-ready CAD work.
Organisation and resilience: The ability to stay organized, manage your own workload, and maintain a sharp eye for detail during busy peak periods.
Strong communication: Confidence in presenting your ideas and design concepts clearly to stakeholders at various levels.
