Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team on a maternity cover contract lasting between 9 to 12 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, creation and review of labels and artwork for customer coffee products including certification schemes such as Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade and Organic as well as supporting the wider business with design requests across promotional material and advertising.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Sales/Commercial team to design and create customer labels, artworks, and on-pack printing for new and existing products.
  • Work alongside the site Technical team to provide artwork designs and mock-ups for Technical Specifications.
  • Submit for approval artworks and label designs for products relating to certification schemes such as Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade and Organic.
  • Upload and manage the database of in-house print designs on factory printers.
  • Support the wider business with any additional design requests such as promotional material, advertisement etc.

Experience

  • Previous experience of retail packaging or label design.
  • Experience with food labelling legislations (Food Information Regulations 2014) – Preferred but not essential as training available.
  • Experience with design software Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with manufacturing labelling software such as Enlabel, Bartender and Clarisoft – preferred but not essential as training available.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.

Competencies

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Sales/Commercial, Operations and Technical) while managing own workload.
  • Graphical Design qualification or relevant experience.
  • Proficient in all relevant IT systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams etc)

Salary/Hours

  • Negotiable
  • Part-time/Full-time may be considered

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
