Job Description

Position: Graphic Designer / Apparel Designer

Job Summary

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating creative, accurate, and production-ready artwork for apparel, uniforms, merchandise, and marketing materials. The role requires close collaboration with the Sales, Production, and Customer Service teams to ensure all designs meet customer requirements and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design \& Artwork Development

  • Create original apparel designs for jerseys, T-shirts, polo shirts, corporate uniforms, hoodies, jackets, and other garments.
  • Produce product mockups based on customer requirements.
  • Design artwork according to customer branding, concepts, and specifications.
  • Recreate or trace logos when necessary.
  • Prepare artwork suitable for various printing methods such as Sublimation, Silkscreen, DTF, Heat Transfer, and Embroidery.

2. Customer Design Revisions

  • Revise artwork based on customer feedback and approval.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood.
  • Ensure all design revisions are completed within the agreed timeline.
  • Obtain final design approval before production begins.

3. Production Artwork Preparation

  • Prepare final print-ready artwork for production.
  • Convert all fonts to outlines before submission.
  • Verify artwork dimensions, colors, logo placement, and printing specifications.
  • Organize production files according to printing methods.
  • Prepare cutting guides and technical files when required.

4. File Management

  • Organize and maintain customer artwork files systematically.
  • Ensure proper file naming and version control.
  • Back up design files regularly to prevent data loss.

5. Quality Control

  • Check all artwork for spelling, sizing, alignment, and color accuracy.
  • Ensure artwork complies with company standards before production.
  • Minimize artwork errors and prevent production issues.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with the Sales team regarding customer requirements.
  • Work closely with the Production team to ensure artwork is technically feasible.
  • Support the Customer Service and Administration teams on design-related matters.

7. Creative Development

  • Develop new apparel concepts and design collections.
  • Research current fashion and apparel design trends.
  • Create reusable design templates for future projects.
  • Continuously improve creativity and design quality.

8. Marketing Design (When Required)

  • Design promotional posters and flyers.
  • Create social media graphics.
  • Design banners, catalogues, brochures, and company profiles.
  • Prepare packaging, labels, and promotional materials.

Skills \& Qualifications

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with Canva is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and printing processes is preferred.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Complete 15–20 design tasks per day.
  • Minor revisions completed within 30 minutes.
  • Major revisions completed within 2 hours.
  • Less than 2% artwork error rate per month.
  • Customer design approval completed within 24 hours after receiving complete information.
  • Production-ready artwork submitted on time according to the production schedule.

  • Maintain confidentiality of customer artwork and company information.
  • Ensure all artwork meets company quality standards.
  • Prioritize tasks based on production deadlines.
  • Continuously improve design quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
