Job Description:
1. Develop, actively implement, and consistently manage the Triflex sales pipeline, progressing opportunities through all stages: Prospects, Qualified Leads, Demonstrations/Proposals, Negotiations, Project Awards, and Repeat Business.
2. Execute all scheduled prospecting activities across multiple communication channels, including site visits, calls, emails, networking events, and industry engagements.
3. Present structured sales strategies and competitive analyses for identified project opportunities to the Sales Manager, and effectively execute agreed action plans.
4. Conduct comprehensive discovery of customer and stakeholder decision-making processes, both pre- and post-sale, to strengthen engagement and long-term relationship management.
5. Lead commercial negotiations to secure optimal pricing and favourable contract terms for liquid-applied waterproofing systems.
6. Optimize marketing initiatives to ensure effective, targeted, and cost-efficient utilization of allocated budgets.
7. Maintain accurate and detailed sales and project documentation within the XRM/database system, including contracts, change orders, correspondence, and progress reports, ensuring records remain current and accessible.
8. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates on leads and active
waterproofing projects, addressing concerns, and proactively managing expectations.
9. Collaborate closely with project teams, site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination and successful project delivery.
10. Participate in site inspections and surveys to assess waterproofing requirements and identify potential compliance issues related to application standards.
11. Ensure full compliance with safety protocols during site inspections and adherence to local regulations governing the use, storage, and sale of waterproofing products.
12. Coordinate cross-departmental requirements throughout the entire sales cycle to support efficient product supply and project execution.
13. Remain informed on industry developments, building codes, regulatory changes, and emerging waterproofing technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
14. Conduct on-site product training sessions for contractors, applicators, and site workers on the proper preparation, mixing, application, and curing of liquid-applied waterproofing systems.
Qualifications / Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 3–7 years of experience in construction materials sales, preferably in waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope systems.
Technical \& Professional Skills
Strong understanding of waterproofing systems, roofing technologies, or protective coatings.
Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Self-driven, independent, and comfortable working in a hunter-style role.
Other Requirements
Familiar with Malaysia construction standards and practices.
Established network with consultants and contractors is an advantage.
Willingness to conduct frequent site visits
Must possess a valid Malaysia driving license
Fluency in both spoken and written English language as the job requires communicating with overseas counterpart from time to time.
Able to start work within 1 month
