Full-Time Nanny for Growing Family (Soon to Be Three Children), Elm Grove!

Children: 2 year old girl, 4.5 year old boy, and new baby expected in August

Compensation: $25-$30/hour

Schedule: 4 days per week at 10 hrs per day, typically 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm

Description:

A kind, easygoing family is seeking a flexible, proactive nanny to join their home as they prepare to welcome their third child later this summer. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nanny who thrives in a relaxed, collaborative environment.

Schedule:
Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

• Primarily weekdays (typically 4 days/week)
• One Saturday per month required
• Schedule will vary week-to-week based on parents’ work schedules as a dual physician household

About the Children

• 4.5-year-old boy (starting half-day kindergarten in the fall)
• 2-year-old girl
• New baby due late summer

The family’s parenting style is relaxed, flexible, and Montessori-inspired, with an emphasis on independence, exploration, and child-led play.

Role Overview

The primary focus of this role is childcare, with an emphasis on engagement, flexibility, and taking initiative within a more unstructured household environment.

The right fit will be someone who is confident stepping in, creating rhythm in the day, and supporting both independent play and outings in the community.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, nurturing care to the children
• Planning age-appropriate activities and encouraging play-based learning
• Taking the children on outings (parks, library, zoo, children’s museum, etc.)
• Supporting daily routines in a flexible, child-led environment
• Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
• Light household tasks related to the children, including:
• Children’s laundry
• Tidying play areas
• Running the dishwasher
• Light vacuuming as needed

A family vehicle will be provided for transportation.

Maternity Leave Transition

The mother will be on maternity leave for approximately four months beginning in late August. During this time, the nanny will primarily support the older children while working alongside the mother to gradually transition into caring for all three children independently by January 2027.

Compensation \& Benefits

• $25–$30 per hour, based on experience
• Paid legally through a payroll service
• Guaranteed hours
• Planned raise in January 2027 when role expands to full care of three children

Additional Details

The home includes one friendly cat. The family lives near parks, a library, and has memberships to the zoo and Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
