The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue during service, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining smooth bar, arcade, and floor operations. This role leads the front-of-house team, resolves customer issues, maintains service standards, and ensures the venue operates safely and efficiently throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee all floor operations during opening, operating, and closing hours.
- Ensure smooth coordination between the bar, arcade, kitchen (if applicable), cashier, and service staff.
- Monitor customer flow and allocate manpower effectively during peak and off-peak periods.
- Conduct opening and closing checks to ensure the venue is clean, fully stocked, and operational.
- Ensure arcade machines are functioning properly and report technical faults promptly.
- Monitor venue ambience, including music, lighting, cleanliness, and overall presentation.
Team Leadership
- Supervise bartenders, servers, arcade attendants, cashiers, and floor staff during each shift.
- Lead pre-shift briefings to communicate daily promotions, reservations, events, and operational updates.
- Coach and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure staff comply with company policies, grooming standards, and SOPs.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
Guest Experience
- Welcome guests and ensure every customer receives friendly and efficient service.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Handle VIP guests, reservations, private events, and special requests.
- Monitor customer satisfaction throughout the shift and proactively recover service failures.
- Encourage repeat business by creating a fun, engaging, and memorable experience.
Cash \& Inventory Control
- Authorise refunds, discounts, voids, and complimentary items according to company policy.
- Verify cash float, daily sales reconciliation, and shift closing reports.
- Monitor stock levels for beverages, consumables, and operational supplies.
- Report shortages, breakages, and equipment issues promptly.
Health, Safety \& Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, hygiene, and food \& beverage regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness across customer and staff areas.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, accidents, or security incidents.
- Ensure all staff follow safe work practices and company procedures.
Requirements
- 1 year of supervisory or management experience in hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, or F\&B.
- Experience managing high-volume service environments is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in POS systems and cash handling.
- Able to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and late nights.
Pay: $3,800.00 - $4,000.00 per month
