These capabilities better equip participants to navigate challenges, contribute positively to their communities, and take on leadership roles in their lives.

ChildFund Rugby is led by ChildFund Australia on behalf of the ChildFund Alliance - a global network of 11 organisations which assists almost 36 million children and their families in 66 countries.

Purpose

The consultant is to provide translation for ChildFund Rugby from English to French and from French to English.

Deliverables and Rates

The consultant will provide ChildFund Rugby with a quote of their expected per word rate in USD.

Management and Reporting Arrangements

The successful applicants will report to the ChildFund Rugby Co-Directors.

Confidentiality

All discussions and documents relating to this ToR will be treated as confidential by the parties.

Child Safeguarding

The successful applicants will be required to comply with and sign a Code of Conduct. The Consultant will also be required to have in place relevant background and/or criminal checks.

Counter-Terrorism

ChildFund Australia acknowledges its obligation under the Australian laws relating to counter-terrorism. In order to meet its obligation, the Consultant’s name will be reviewed against Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and National Security Australia lists at the onset of any financial relationship.

Qualifications \& Experience

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

Essential:

  • Aged 18 or over
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Passionate about empowering women through increased opportunities to play and lead in sport
  • Open-minded and respectful of diverse perspectives and opinions Committed to maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the content they translate or interpret

Desirable:

Background or experience in sport, education, or gender studies

Skills

  • Confident and effective communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills Comfortable engaging in cross-cultural environments
