About NP/PA Engage

NP/PA Engage is a digital marketing and medical communications firm specializing in educational and promotional communications for nurse practitioners and physician associates on behalf of pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

We're seeking an experienced freelance Senior Video Editor to support ongoing pharmaceutical and medical communications projects. This is a project-based opportunity with the potential for recurring work.

You'll transform Riverside.fm interview recordings featuring key opinion leaders (KOLs) and expert interviewers into polished, visually engaging professional videos. We're looking for someone who combines strong storytelling and design skills with the precision required for healthcare and pharmaceutical communications.

View this sample video (https://nppaengage.com/insights/rtd/1/join-the-2025-aapa-president-how-pharma-can-team-with-pa-prescribers) and reply with:

  • Your specific edit plan: Exactly what changes, layouts, or motion graphics you would make to turn this raw footage into a creative, dynamic, modern video.
  • A matching portfolio link: A link to a remotely recorded video you've edited that demonstrates those exact techniques. (Note: Applications missing these specific responses will not be considered.)

What You'll Do

  • Video Editing \& Storytelling: Transform raw Riverside.fm interview recordings into polished, professionally paced videos with clean cuts, engaging transitions, and dynamic layouts.
  • Motion Graphics \& Visual Design: Create custom title cards, speaker introductions, lower thirds, graphic overlays, animated callouts, and other visual elements that highlight key statistics, clinical insights, quotes, and takeaways.
  • Two-Person Interview Editing: Edit recorded interviews featuring both an interviewer and an expert guest, using thoughtful camera switching, side-by-side layouts, picture-in-picture, and speaker-focused framing. Create a natural, engaging viewing experience through intentional visual pacing, conversational flow, and well-timed layout changes.
  • Audio \& Visual Enhancement: Clean up audio, reduce noise, correct color, and ensure consistent, professional production quality.
  • Transcript Accuracy: Generate and verify transcripts, paying close attention to medical terminology, drug names, disease states, and speaker credentials rather than relying solely on automated transcription.
  • MLR Revisions: Implement Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review feedback, including video edits, graphic updates, and accurate timestamp adjustments.
  • Optional Recording Support: Assist with technical setup or live interview recording in Riverside.fm when needed.
  • Project Collaboration: Work independently, communicate effectively with internal teams and subject-matter experts, and deliver high-quality work on deadline.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional video editing experience, ideally in corporate, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical communications environments.
  • Proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or Audition.
  • Strong graphic design and motion graphics skills, including animated lower thirds, typography, and custom visual callouts.
  • Familiarity with Riverside.fm or comparable remote interview recording platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially with medical terminology, drug names, speaker credentials, and on-screen text.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and incorporate detailed feedback across multiple revision rounds.
  • A portfolio demonstrating polished, professional video editing and visual design.

Strongly Preferred Experience

  • Experience creating video content for healthcare professionals (HCPs), pharmaceutical companies, or medical device audiences.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review workflows.
  • Experience incorporating regulatory review comments, including fair balance, Important Safety Information (ISI), and disclaimer formatting, under applicable FDA/OPDP requirements and client guidance.
  • Experience recording or managing technical setups for remote interviews.

Who We're Looking For

You're more than a technical editor. You're a creative, story-driven professional who knows how to make expert interviews visually compelling, clear, and engaging. You have experience editing two-person interviews—not just single-speaker presentations or short-form clips—and know how to use layouts, motion graphics, and visual storytelling to keep professional, educational content engaging.

You bring ideas for improving pacing, graphics, motion, and layout rather than simply cutting footage together. You take pride in high design standards and understand that medical and pharmaceutical content requires both creative execution and meticulous accuracy.
