Job Description

Freelance Construction Security Business Development Manager – UK Remote

About SecurLink

SecurLink helps UK security companies generate qualified sales opportunities and win contracts. Our clients provide services such as construction-site guarding, CCTV and surveillance, mobile patrols, keyholding, access control, vacant-property protection and related commercial security services.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced UK construction-sector salesperson or business development professional who already understands how main contractors, developers and site teams buy services.

You do not need to be a security expert on day one; we will provide a briefing on the services, target customers and qualification process. You must bring credible construction-industry relationships, commercial judgement and the ability to open conversations with decision-makers.

This is a flexible, non-exclusive, self-employed contract-for-services opportunity. It is not a salaried position. Contractors control their own schedule and working methods, may work for other clients and invoice for accepted work. There are no guaranteed hours or assignments.

Fee

£200 for each accepted qualified meeting that takes place.

Eurostaffs requires a standard pay period, but this is not a guaranteed £200 daily wage. Payment is per accepted qualified meeting held. The complete acceptance criteria, approval process and invoicing terms will be set out in a written contract before work begins. Contractors are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.

A qualified meeting must:

  • Be attended by a UK decision-maker or genuine influencer responsible for purchasing security services.
  • Relate to a credible construction project, tender, supplier review, contract renewal or active security requirement.
  • Fit the agreed services, geography and client profile.
  • Take place as scheduled, with enough information supplied for a useful sales conversation.
  • Include handover notes covering the requirement, timing, current arrangements and procurement process.
  • Not duplicate an existing SecurLink or client opportunity.

Speculative networking calls, recruitment calls, duplicates, no-shows and meetings outside the agreed criteria are not accepted.

What you will do

  • Use your construction network and independent prospecting to identify suitable opportunities.
  • Start conversations with main contractors, principal contractors, developers, site managers, commercial teams, procurement teams and facilities professionals.
  • Qualify construction-site security needs, project timing and buying routes.
  • Book and hand over meetings to our security-company clients.
  • Identify relevant tenders, preferred-supplier lists, subcontracting routes and upcoming contract renewals.
  • Keep clear, accurate notes in the agreed tracking system.

Essential experience

  • Proven business development, sales, account growth or commercial experience in the UK construction sector.
  • Existing relationships or credible access to construction decision-makers.
  • Evidence of generating meetings, opportunities, pipeline or contracts.
  • Confidence speaking with senior commercial and operational contacts.
  • Strong telephone, email, Eurostaffs and relationship-building skills.
  • UK-based and able to contact UK businesses during normal working hours.

Security-services experience is helpful but not essential. Construction-sector credibility and genuine buyer access are essential.

What we provide

  • A structured briefing on the security services and target markets.
  • Agreed qualification and handover criteria.
  • Prospect research, messaging and campaign materials.
  • Transparent written payment terms.
  • Flexible, remote and non-exclusive working.
  • An initial 30-day pilot, with the opportunity to continue if the arrangement produces quality opportunities.

This opportunity may suit a current or former Construction Business Development Manager, Specification Sales Manager, Construction Sales Manager, Commercial Manager, Facilities Management BDM, contractor account manager or construction-sector consultant.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and a short note explaining:

1. The types of UK construction buyers you can credibly reach.

2. The construction sectors and regions you know best.

3. Two examples of meetings, pipeline or contracts you have generated.

4. How many qualified meetings you could realistically deliver in the first 30 days.

5. Any competing clients or potential conflicts.

You do not need to disclose private contact details during the application stage.

Pay: £200.00 per day

Application question(s):

  • What measurable business-development results have you produced, such as qualified meetings, pipeline value, tenders, contracts or account growth?
  • Are you comfortable working on a non-exclusive freelance basis with an agreed payment for each qualified meeting that meets written criteria?
  • Describe your UK construction sales experience and the buyer contacts you can reach.
