About the Role

Working at the heart of our freight network, you’ll play a key role in ensuring freight is handled accurately, safely and on time — keeping Tasmania connected every day.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Based at our Launceston site, this hands-on role is responsible for the safe movement and coordination of freight across the depot.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Safely loading and unloading vehicles and trailers
  • Scanning, sorting and reconfiguring freight as required
  • Re-palletising and preparing freight for shipping and linehaul movements
  • Ensuring accurate and timely freight distribution
  • Working to operational deadlines and following site procedures
  • Identifying and reporting damaged freight in line with process
  • Applying safe load restraint practices, including correct use of straps and equipment
  • Maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards

This is a fast-paced operational environment where accuracy, teamwork and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • A current and valid Forklift Licence (mandatory)
  • Experience in a freight, logistics or transport setting (highly regarded)
  • A proactive approach to workplace safety
  • The ability to follow instructions and established processes
  • Confidence working independently and within a team
  • Full working rights in Australia
