Forklift Operator - Hornby \| Afternoon Shift

We're looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy Hornby operation on a six-month contract, with the potential to extend for the right person.

This role is suited to someone confident on the forklift, particularly when loading and unloading trucks, who can work independently and is comfortable using scanners and forklift-mounted systems.

The role

Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently

Moving, stacking and handling pallets

Using forklift-mounted systems and scanners

Providing general yard and warehouse support

Working independently in a fast-paced environment

Hours

Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to midnight

Initial day-shift training required

Overtime available, paid at time and a half

Pay and benefits

$26.90 per hour plus 8% holiday pay

Night-shift allowance

Overtime paid at time and a half

Meal allowances where applicable

Six-month contract with potential to extend

Essential requirements

Current OSH forklift certificate

Proven forklift operating experience

Strong experience loading and unloading trucks

Confidence using scanners and warehouse systems

Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently

Current legal entitlement to work in New Zealand

Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including drug testing, Ministry of Justice and ACC checks

Please note: A current OSH certificate and demonstrated forklift experience, particularly loading trucks, are essential for this position. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
