Food and Beverage Assistants and Supervisor

Castle Durrow Country House Hotel is currently seeking enthusiastic and guest-focused Food \& Beverage Assistants to join our hospitality team.

Whether serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, weddings, or special events, our Food \& Beverage team plays a vital role in creating lasting memories for our guests.

The Role

As a Food \& Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and professional service throughout the hotel. You will work across our restaurant, bar, private dining areas, weddings, and events, ensuring that every guest receives the highest standard of care and attention.

The ideal candidate will be personable, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding food and beverage service to hotel residents and visitors.
• Welcome guests warmly and ensure their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and confidently.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Set up and clear tables to the highest standards.
• Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, weddings, conferences, and private events.
• Ensure function rooms and dining areas are presented impeccably at all times.
• Work effectively as part of a team during busy service periods.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
• Assist with bar service when required.
• Handle guest requests and feedback in a professional and positive manner.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous hospitality or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
• A friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for guest service and hospitality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, particularly during weddings and large functions.
• Excellent attention to detail and personal presentation.
• A team player with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: From €14.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Durrow, County Laois: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
