RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize various transportation provider software systems, to facilitate transportation planning and scheduling.
- Monitor Load-link / DAT to find and book loads.
- Plan, monitor, and track all loads to ensure trucks are dispatched effectively to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with customer or customer service about any issues, delays, or waiting time that may occur and inform in a timely manner.
- Monitoring any trailer pools in yards, customer and any other drop sites
- Responsible for negotiating rates and finding any necessary outbound to help fill hole in line up
- Communicate with sales about new freight opportunities
- Answer and monitor inbound calls/emails/satellite and provide solutions for drivers for issues that arise
- Use clear and professional communication with drivers regarding instructions for dispatch
- Coordinate safety and repairs with Fleet Maintenance Coordinator
- Ensure all company equipment is effectively utilized and monitored
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of previous experience in the Transportation/Logistics field
- Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Outlook
- Ability to cope with pressure/stress, and work efficiently in a fast pace/high-volume environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
