Fixed Term Purchasing Assistant

This position is based in our İzmir site, located in the Aegean Free Zone, Gaziemir.

We are looking for a full-time Purchasing Assistant (Temporary Position) to join our Procurement team at Gram Equipment Turkey in Izmir.

Experience in the machine manufacturing industry, product knowledge, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and previous experience in a similar role within an international environment are considered an advantage. Experience working with a global supplier base is also a plus.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will report to the Procurement Manager and support the Purchasing team in day-to-day procurement activities.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Purchasing Engineers in daily procurement activities
• Sending RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to suppliers and collecting quotations
• Following up with suppliers to ensure timely responses
• Collecting and organizing pricing, lead time, and other commercial information
• Preparing quotation comparisons and related documentation
• Supporting alternative supplier research and sourcing activities
• Maintaining and updating purchasing and supplier-related data
• Maintaining and improving purchasing master data in the ERP system
• Preparing Excel reports, purchasing lists, and meeting materials
• Supporting invoice discrepancy resolution in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
• Supporting communication and coordination between suppliers, Purchasing, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and other relevant departments

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a structured and proactive candidate who is comfortable working in an international and cross-functional environment.

The ideal candidate has:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or another relevant field; current Master’s students may also be considered
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Good MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Good written and spoken English
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset

Previous experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a similar function within a manufacturing environment is considered an advantage.
