Fitter Welder - Transport Industry

We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter Welder to join a well-established Christchurch business specialising in the manufacture, repair, and servicing of heavy transport equipment.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with strong fabrication and welding experience who takes pride in producing quality workmanship.

The Role:

You will be responsible for a range of fabrication, welding, repair, and refurbishment work on heavy transport equipment and trailers, including:

• Fabrication and welding repairs
• Trailer and truck body repairs
• Maintenance and refurbishment work
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in fabrication, welding, or a similar trade
• Experience within transport engineering, heavy vehicle repairs, or trailer manufacturing would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliable and safety-focused attitude
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
