Finishing carpenter

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finishing Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise finishing work that enhances the aesthetic and functional quality of building projects. Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior and exterior finishing components such as trim, moldings, cabinetry, and paneling using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform detailed carpentry work including joinery, framing adjustments, and custom fabrication to ensure seamless fit and finish.
• Apply construction painting techniques to achieve smooth, durable surfaces on walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Execute roofing tasks related to finishing touches, including flashing installation and sealing for weatherproofing.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of finishing phases while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years finishing joinery experience.
• Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and detailed carpentry work with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques essential for precise finishing work.
• Ability to perform lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
• Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to carpentry and construction sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
• Relevant certifications or training in carpentry or related trades are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: £18.00-£25.00 per hour
