Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Finishing Carpenter with strong skills in high-quality carpentry and finishing works. The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail and hands-on experience in interior finishing, joinery, and installation works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out finishing carpentry and joinery works for doors, frames, cabinets, wardrobes, wall panels, partitions, and other wooden structures.
• Perform precise cutting, shaping, fitting, sanding, and finishing of wood and related materials.
• Install and adjust doors, door frames, skirting, architraves, mouldings, and decorative woodwork.
• Carry out installation of cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, counters, and other custom-made furniture.
• Perform polishing, touch-ups, repairs, and other finishing works to achieve a high-quality appearance.
• Read and interpret carpentry drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Take accurate measurements and ensure proper alignment, level, and fitting of finished carpentry works.
• Identify and rectify defects, gaps, uneven surfaces, and finishing issues.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth completion of finishing and installation works.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and work areas are kept clean and safe.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in finishing carpentry or joinery.
• Proven experience in interior finishing and high-quality carpentry works.
• Strong knowledge of wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, and other finishing materials.
• Ability to read and understand carpentry drawings and measurements.
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and finishing quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to work for extended periods when required.
• Experience in commercial buildings, hotels, villas, fit-out projects, or luxury interiors is an advantage.

Pay: QAR1,200.00 per month
