Financial Controller

About Company \& Role Purpose

A leading industrial manufacturing company in Bahrain, established in 1977, specializes in manufacturing High Voltage Overhead Electrical Conductors, Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Rod, Wire, and Conductor products. We are seeking a smart, professional Financial Controller to work directly with management. The role is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, and strategic financial planning to support the company's manufacturing operations and expansion projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

General

· Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to management and the Board.

· Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including Bahraini commercial laws, tax regulations, and IFRS standards.

· Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and resolve any audit findings.

· Maintain and enforce internal control policies to safeguard company assets.

· Oversee product costing, including raw materials (aluminium rod), labor, factory overheads, and conversion costs.

· Analyze manufacturing variances and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency.

· Monitor inventory valuation for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods in coordination with the production and supply chain teams.

· Support the factory operations team with financial insights on scrap, yield, and production planning.

· Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.

· Prepare rolling forecasts and long-term financial projections for local and international operations.

· Monitor actual performance against budget and present variance analysis to management.

· Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and capital expenditure.

· Oversee banking relationships, loan covenants, and credit facilities.

· Manage foreign exchange exposure given the company's cross-border operations.

· Work directly with senior management to evaluate financial feasibility of new projects (e.g., new factory setups or capacity expansions).

· Provide financial analysis for capital expenditure decisions.

· Present clear, insightful management reports that support strategic decision-making.

· Lead the finance team to ensure timely and efficient financial operations.

BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS \& EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

· Male candidate (as per client requirement).

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Professional certification is highly preferred (CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent).

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial control or senior accounting role.

· Experience in the manufacturing, industrial, or cable/aluminum industry is strongly preferred.

· Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and factory operations.

· Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage.

Skills

· Highly smart and professional with the ability to work directly with top management.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent command of English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus.

· Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-finance managers.

· Proactive, self-driven, and able to work under pressure.

· High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: BD600.000 - BD1,000.000 per month
