Job Description

Job Summary

Our client, a leading financial services organization based in Bahrain, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, financial controls, compliance, and strategic financial planning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining strong governance frameworks, optimizing financial processes, and providing actionable insights to support business growth and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis activities.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, treasury activities, and working capital requirements.
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and manage relationships with auditors, banks, and professional advisors.
  • Prepare financial analysis, management dashboards, and performance reports to support business decisions.
  • Develop financial models and provide insights on profitability, cost optimization, and operational performance.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Support strategic initiatives, business planning, and financial improvement projects.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory and financial submissions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications \& Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Prior experience in one or more of the following sectors is required: Private Credit, Structured Finance, Asset-Based Lending, Commercial Lending, Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Alternative Investments, Venture Debt, Wealth Management, Family Offices, Trade Finance, Leasing \& Equipment Finance, FinTech (Lending or Credit Platforms), Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs), Investment Management, or Financial Advisory/Corporate Finance.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, financial controls, and risk management.
  • Experience managing audits, tax compliance, banking relationships, and financial governance processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Pay: Up to BD1,800.000 per month
