Mpac is seeking a talented and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, servicing, and optimization of our automated packaging equipment at customer sites throughout the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade automated packaging machinery at customer sites.
- Provide start-up support and technical assistance during installation and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, motion control, and automation issues.
- Perform machine debugging, assembly, wiring, and testing activities.
- Deliver technical guidance and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Recommend machine improvements, upgrades, and replacement parts to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Provide remote and telephone-based technical support when required.
- Complete detailed service reports, expense reports, and field activity documentation.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Training, and Customer Support teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications \& Experience
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Mechanical assembly drawings
- Electrical schematics
- Pneumatic diagrams
- Hands-on experience with:
- Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs
- Servo motion control systems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
Preferred Experience
- Servo programming experience.
- Experience with Siemens PLCs and Lenze motion control systems.
- Knowledge of robotics and robotic applications.
- Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Millwright certification is advantageous.
Travel Requirements
This role requires extensive travel throughout the APAC region and internationally, with travel expected to be approximately 65-70% of the time. Candidates must be able to travel at short notice when required.
You must have:
- A valid passport.
- A valid unrestricted driver's licence.
The ability to rent and operate vehicles internationally without restrictions.
