Field Operations Lead
Job Description

Australasian Facilities Management is hiring a Field Operations Lead in Adelaide.

We're looking for someone who's done the hard yards running their own business and wants a change of pace — still hands-on, still calling the shots, minus the overhead and admin that comes with ownership. Hands-on experience is required; this isn't a desk-based operations role, you'll need to be genuinely comfortable doing the physical work yourself.

In the early months, this role is genuinely hands-on. You'll be running water damage restoration and remediation jobs yourself, along with basic handyman work using standard hand and power tools, painting touch-ups, small fixes, landscaping and grounds maintenance duties, and gutter cleaning that requires working safely at heights — without needing to call in a separate tradesperson. You'll have your own company van and access to equipment, and you'll own the budget for every job you run.

This isn't intended to stay a field-only role. As you demonstrate you can deliver profitable, well-documented jobs to our standard, you'll progressively take ownership of scheduling, contractor performance, and day-to-day operations, with a genuine path to building and leading our operations team.

IICRC certification, WRT or AMRT, is desirable, and experience in water damage restoration is highly valued. Former business owners looking to step back from running their own show but keep their independence — this role was built with you in mind.

You'll need to be comfortable using technology for job tracking and documentation, with before and after photos on every job. Accurate documentation is non-negotiable — it's how we maintain quality, measure job performance, and reward strong results.

You must be prepared to obtain a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check as a condition of employment.

Availability is job-demand driven and may include after-hours or weekend callouts, such as water damage emergencies, on a roster basis.

$80,000 plus super, with bonus potential tied to job margins, turnaround time, and documentation quality.
