FastAPI Developer

Role Purpose:

The FastAPI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI. The role will involve building high-performance backend services, integrating third-party systems, working with databases, and supporting production applications.

Responsibilities:

FastAPI \& Backend Development

• Develop scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.

API Integration

• Design and implement secure and scalable APIs.
• Integrate APIs with web, mobile, and third-party applications.
• Implement authentication, validation, and error handling.

Database Management

• Develop and optimize database queries and data models.
• Work with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Ensure data integrity and performance.

Testing \& Quality

• Develop unit, integration, and API tests.
• Perform debugging and code reviews.
• Ensure application quality and reliability.

Production Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement fixes.
• Monitor and optimize application performance.

Deployment \& Collaboration

• Support application deployment and releases.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Maintain technical and API documentation.

Qualifications:

Necessary Knowledge and Experience to be able to do the Job

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Strong knowledge of backend development and RESTful API design.
• Experience with database development using SQL and/or NoSQL.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving production application issues.
• Experience developing scalable, production-grade applications.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, and deployment.

Education and Certification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications in Python, FastAPI, or backend development are an advantage.
