Job Summary
The Facade / ACP Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation of façade systems, Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) cladding, glazing, aluminium works, and related architectural metal works at project sites. The role ensures that work is executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution
- Supervise façade, ACP cladding, glazing, aluminium, and steel installation activities on site.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, supervisors, and installation teams.
- Monitor site progress and ensure completion of activities as per the project schedule.
- Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions before fabrication and installation.
Technical Responsibilities
- Review architectural, structural, and façade drawings.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during installation.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and production departments regarding site requirements.
- Ensure correct installation of brackets, anchors, ACP panels, glazing systems, sealants, flashings, and façade accessories.
- Prepare site reports, material requests, and work progress reports.
Quality Control
- Inspect installed works to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and main contractors.
- Ensure proper rectification of defects and snag items.
- Maintain quality records and inspection documentation.
Site Coordination
- Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and main contractors.
- Attend site meetings and progress review meetings.
- Coordinate material deliveries and storage at site.
- Ensure availability of manpower, tools, and equipment.
Health \& Safety
- Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and company HSE policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Monitor safe working practices, especially for work at height and lifting operations.
- Report and investigate incidents and unsafe conditions.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in façade, ACP cladding, aluminium, glazing, or architectural metal works.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, and high-rise building projects.
- UAE/GCC experience preferred.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of ACP cladding systems, curtain walls, unitized systems, stick systems, skylights, and glazing works.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and shop drawings.
- Familiarity with façade installation methods and quality standards.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of façade materials, sealants, fixings, and structural connections.
