Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Façade Design Team Leader to lead the design team and manage the development of façade design, shop drawings, and technical documentation for aluminum and façade projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in façade systems, excellent knowledge of design and detailing, and proven experience leading a façade design team.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the façade design and drafting team.

* Develop and review façade designs, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical details.

* Ensure designs comply with project specifications, approved materials, architectural requirements, and applicable standards.

* Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, project managers, consultants, and site teams.

* Review technical drawings and provide design solutions for complex façade details.

* Coordinate design development from concept/shop drawings through fabrication and site installation.

* Ensure accuracy and quality of drawings before submission for consultant/client approval.

* Manage drawing schedules and ensure timely submission of design deliverables.

* Review and resolve technical comments from consultants and clients.

* Support the project and estimation teams with technical input, material specifications, and design clarifications.

* Conduct design coordination meetings and provide technical guidance to team members.

* Identify design conflicts and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.

* Ensure proper documentation and revision control of all design drawings.

* Mentor and develop junior designers and draftsmen.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in *Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field*.

* 6–10 years of experience* in façade design, preferably within aluminum and façade contracting companies.

* Strong experience in *curtain walls, structural glazing, aluminum doors \& windows, cladding, louvers, and other façade systems*.

* Strong knowledge of façade detailing, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation.

* Proficiency in *AutoCAD*; knowledge of Revit and other façade design software is an advantage.

* Proven experience leading or supervising a façade design team.

* Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings.

* Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

* Qatar/GCC project experience is preferred.

* *Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred/mandatory depending on project requirements.*

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
