Job Description

Company Description Orkim Berhad is an owner-operator of Clean Petroleum Products (CPP) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) tankers, providing marine transportation services across Malaysia and the broader Asian region. The company operates CPP tankers that transport refined petroleum products and LPG tankers that carry liquefied petroleum gas under charter agreements. As of 30 June 2025, Orkim Berhad manages a fleet of 17 vessels with a total capacity of 189,187 DWT. Its operations are focused primarily in Malaysia, Singapore, China, and South Korea, supporting key energy supply chains in the region. Candidates joining Orkim Berhad can expect to work in a dynamic maritime environment with exposure to regional shipping and logistics activities.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Account Executive role based in Selangor, Malaysia. This role is to support the Finance function by managing day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities, including payments, reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with internal policies, statutory requirements and applicable accounting standards. The scope of work includes planning, preparing, analyzing and coordinating finance-related activities within the Orkim Group of Companies, covering accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, taxation, financing and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business and/ or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ CPA/ MICPA/ equivalent. Having prior experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable would be a huge bonus
  • Minimum 1 or 2 years of working experience in relevant task
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in accounting or ERP software and solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and auditors.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in shipping, logistics, or related industries is an advantage, as is familiarity with Malaysian financial and tax regulations.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to compliance with company policies and financial controls.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
