Job Description

Who are we looking for?

Govstack is hiring a Field Demand Generation Coordinator to help bring our field marketing programs to life. You'll work directly with the Head of Demand Generation to execute conference and event programs, support the BDR team with timely follow-up, and keep our HubSpot data clean and accurate so we can see what's working.

This is a hands-on execution role — you'll be the person making sure things actually happen: event logistics are handled, leads are captured and loaded, follow-up sequences are live before we leave the venue, and reports are ready when leadership asks for them. The strategy and prioritization will come from the Head of Demand Gen; your job is to execute it well and flag what you're seeing on the ground.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their demand gen career who wants real ownership of programs — not just support tasks — and who wants to learn the field marketing motion from the inside at a growing govtech company.

Be part of the dynamic culture! Our workplace thrives on a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration and flexibility. Join us in office, 3 days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment. This role can be based in any of our GTA offices - Toronto, Mississauga, Markham or Whitby.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Field Event Execution
    • Coordinate Govstack's presence at conferences and field events across North America — managing logistics, materials, and pre-event preparation in partnership with our third-party event vendor
    • Execute pre-event and post-event outreach programs designed by the Head of Demand Gen, including email campaigns, calendar invites, and event-specific landing pages
    • Staff events alongside the Head of Demand Gen and sales team; serve as a point of contact on-site for lead capture and attendee engagement
    • Track event deliverables and timelines to ensure nothing falls through the cracks in the weeks leading up to each conference
  • BDR Support \& Lead Handoff
    • Load and tag event leads in HubSpot, ensuring every contact is properly sequenced and visible to the BDR team
    • Support BDRs with event-specific context — who we met, what was discussed, what materials were shared — so their follow-up is informed and timely
    • Help maintain and update the post-event outreach templates and sequences used by the BDR team, flagging when messaging feels stale or off-target

      • Serve as the connective tissue between field activity and the BDR team, making sure nothing sits in a spreadsheet when it should be in the CRM
      • HubSpot \& Campaign Operations
        • Own day-to-day HubSpot hygiene for field activity: list imports, campaign tagging, contact updates, and lead source tracking
        • Pull standard performance reports after each event (leads captured, emails sent, open rates, meetings booked) and share them with the Head of Demand Gen
        • Help maintain the demand gen calendar in HubSpot, keeping campaigns organized, named consistently, and easy to report on Flag data quality issues as you see them — duplicate contacts, missing fields, leads that weren't routed correctly
          +

What great looks like:

In your first 60 days, you've learned our event calendar, our HubSpot structure, and our BDR team's workflow. You've executed at least one event end-to-end and the leads were in the CRM and sequenced before you got back from the venue. The BDR team knows who you are and trusts that when you send them a lead list, it's clean.

By six months, you're operating with minimal hand-holding on event execution. You're bringing back insights from the field — what buyers are saying, what competitors came up, what sessions were packed — and feeding that into our messaging and planning. You're asking good questions about why we're making certain bets, not just executing them.

What you will bring to the team:

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, demand generation, event coordination, or a related B2B role
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or a similar CRM/marketing automation platform — you've used it to manage contacts, run campaigns, or pull reports
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; you're the kind of person who builds the checklist and actually follows it
  • Comfort working cross-functionally — you communicate clearly with sales, vendors, and internal stakeholders without needing someone to manage the relationship for you
  • Willingness to travel to conferences and events (approximately 8–12 events per year) Curiosity about data — you want to know if something worked, and you're comfortable pulling a basic report to find out

Nice to have:

  • Experience in govtech, public sector SaaS, or marketing to local/municipal government buyers
  • Familiarity with the conference landscape for municipal government (ICMA, NLC, GovTech events, etc.) Experience supporting a BDR or inside sales team with lead follow-up programs
