Job Title: Estimator or Cost Engineer
Job Description:
The Estimator is responsible for evaluating costs and preparing accurate project estimates based on designs, plans, specifications, and other relevant documents. The role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients to ensure estimates are comprehensive and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Analysis:
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Identify materials, labour, time, and equipment requirements.
- Cost Estimation:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including direct and indirect costs.
- Utilize estimating software and historical data.
- Supplier \& Subcontractor Engagement:
- Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate vendor proposals for accuracy and competitiveness.
- Risk Assessment:
- Identify potential project risks and assess cost implications.
- Apply contingency factors where appropriate.
- Bid Preparation:
- Prepare and submit timely and competitive bids.
- Support bid strategies and attend tender meetings.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams.
- Maintain effective communication across departments.
- Documentation \& Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date records of estimates and pricing data.
- Prepare post-estimate reviews and lessons learned.

- Supporting successful project bids and proposals.
- Adhering to company policies, standards, and ethical guidelines.

Pay: KD250.000 - KD300.000 per month
