To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, tender submissions, and technical proposals for commercial kitchen and laundry projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Estimation \& Costing
- Review tender drawings, BOQs, and specifications
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for:
- Commercial kitchen equipment (cooking, refrigeration, dishwashing)
- Laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironing systems)
- Stainless steel fabrication and custom items
- Exhaust systems, ducting, LPG systems, and MEP connections
- Analyze project scope and identify missing items or risks
- Prepare cost breakdowns and pricing sheets
2. Tendering \& Proposal Preparation
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals
- Ensure full compliance with consultant and client requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments (sales, design, procurement)
- Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information)
3. Authority Compliance (UAE)
- Ensure designs and estimates comply with:
- Dubai Municipality regulations
- Civil Defense UAE requirements
4. Cost Control \& Value Engineering
- Propose cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality
- Compare multiple supplier quotations and optimize pricing
- Support management in achieving competitive bid pricing
5. Supplier \& Client Coordination
- Source quotations from local and international suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and technical compliance
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients for clarifications
6. Post-Tender \& Project Support
- Assist in project handover to execution team
- Prepare technical submittals and material approvals
- Support cost tracking and variation analysis during execution
Skills \& Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen \& laundry systems
- Strong knowledge of Waste Management Equipment
- Understanding of MEP services (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
- Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings and layouts
Software Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- AutoCAD (mandatory)
- ERP systems (SAP/Oracle – advantage)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in estimation within:
- Kitchen equipment contracting
- Laundry systems
UAE-Specific Requirements
- Prior UAE/GCC experience preferred
- Knowledge of local supplier market and logistics
- Familiarity with contract standards
Salary Range
- AED 5,000 – 7,000 (depending on experience and UAE exposure)
