Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Equine Veterinary Nurse to join our specialised veterinary team. The successful candidate will support veterinarians in providing high-quality care to equine patients, ensuring their health and well-being. Duties

  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures on equine patients
  • Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
  • Collecting samples for laboratory testing and preparing specimens for analysis
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating treatment plans accordingly
  • Providing pre- and post-operative care to horses, including wound management and bandaging
  • Supporting clients with advice on horse health, nutrition, and management practices
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary clinic, including sterilisation of equipment
  • Assisting with Diagnostic Imaging including MRI, CT and Bone scans

Experience

  • Prior veterinary experience is essential, with a preference for candidates specialising in Diagnostic Imaging
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are vital for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple cases simultaneously
  • Compassionate approach when handling horses and communicating with clients
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
