For more than 40 years, Closets by Design has been the industry leader in custom home organization systems. Our Kent location has proudly served the Puget Sound for over 30 years, designing, manufacturing, and installing custom closets, garages, pantries, home offices, wall beds, and more.

We're looking for reliable, mechanically inclined people who enjoy working with their hands and want to build a long-term career.

This isn't a helper position—it's the first step toward becoming a professional Installer.

Our Installer in Training program combines paid, hands-on training with real-world experience. We hire for attitude, aptitude, and work ethic—not years of experience. Most trainees are promoted to Installer within approximately 4–6 months, based on performance.

What You'll Do

• Install custom closets, garages, pantries, home offices, wall beds, and other organization systems
• Learn installation techniques and finish carpentry from experienced Installers
• Safely operate hand and power tools
• Load, transport, and install materials
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Deliver outstanding customer service while working in customers' homes
• Represent Closets by Design with professionalism and integrity

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Mechanically inclined with a desire to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Strong work ethic and pride in quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds
