Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and adaptable Part-Time English and Social Studies Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching high school-level curriculum (such as GED Reasoning Through Language Arts and Social Studies, or IGCSE/equivalent) to multi-national students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that build critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and historical/civic awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Lessons: Conduct interactive part-time lessons tailored to small groups or individual students focusing on English (grammar, essay writing, reading analysis) and Social Studies (history, geography, economics, and civics).
• Exam Preparation: Guide students through specific testing frameworks (e.g., GED, IGCSE), teaching test-taking strategies, time management, and core academic concepts.
• Assess \& Track Progress: Regularly monitor student performance, evaluate assignments and practice tests, and provide constructive, personalized feedback.
• Create a Supportive Environment: Foster an inclusive, motivating, and culturally sensitive classroom atmosphere that encourages active student participation.
• Collaborate: Work alongside administrative staff and fellow educators to ensure optimal learning outcomes and alignment with student goals.

Qualifications \& Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, History, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Certifications: TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or relevant teaching credentials preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching English and/or Social Studies, preferably in an international school, language center, or tutoring environment handling exam prep (GED/IGCSE).
• Skills: Native or near-native English speaker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong classroom management and a dynamic teaching presence; patient, empathetic, and adaptable to varying student learning styles.
• Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Kathu, Phuket for in-person classes (hybrid/online options may occasionally apply).
