Engineer – Water Installations

JOB PURPOSE

The role holder is responsible for supervising and managing the installation of water meters to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality in accordance with COMPANY standards. The role supports effective execution, commissioning, and documentation of water meter installation works.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises and manages installation of water meters across multiple sites and service areas.

Ensures all installation activities comply with COMPANY standards, specifications, and approved procedures.

Conducts testing, commissioning, and verification of newly installed water meters.

Identifies and resolves installation issues and technical challenges, escalating complex matters when required.

Coordinates with CONTRACTORs, supervisors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of works.

Monitors installation quality, workmanship, and compliance during execution.

Maintains accurate installation records, site reports, and compliance documentation.

Supports NRW reduction initiatives through proper installation and verification practices.

Ensures compliance with ISO systems, Health and Safety regulations, and operational policies.

Maintains proper records and reporting for audits and quality assurance purposes.

Performs any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE \& SKILLS

Qualifications / Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related

discipline.

Experience

Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in water meter installation or related utility works.

Key Skills

Proficiency in water meter installation, operation, and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of water distribution systems and smart metering technologies.

Knowledge of Non-Revenue Water (NRW) management practices.

Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Written and Spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Site-based role with frequent inspections, supervision, and coordination activities.
