Aaron Paramedical Services is expanding our team of dedicated paramedics to support high demand events year round, including the Calgary Stampede, Cowboys Music Festival, Rodeos, Motor cross and BMX events, as well as staff to provide patient repatriation services and Interfacility Transfers. We are currently hiring EMRs, PCPs, ACPs and RNs for casual shifts, with flexible hours for both event coverage and patient transport services. This role offers a variety of experiences, including working at large events, as well as providing medical transportation from hospitals to home or appointments.

Position Overview: As an EMR, PCP, ACP or RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care during events, as well as transporting patients between hospitals and home or appointments as part of our patient repatriation services. You’ll be part of a skilled team that ensures both event attendees and patients receive top-tier care in a professional and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site emergency medical services at events, including the Calgary Stampede and other events across Calgary and surrounding area.
• Deliver patient care within your scope of practice during emergencies, ensuring safety and comfort for patients.
• Conduct patient repatriations—transferring patients from hospitals to their homes or from home to appointments as required.
• Work collaboratively with other paramedics and healthcare professionals to maintain a high standard of patient care.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and documentation is prepared and maintained throughout the shift.

Qualifications \& Requirements:

• Must be registered and in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP).
• Advanced First Aid Certification
• Valid Class 4 Driver's License with no more than 6 demerit points (Driver’s abstract will be required before hiring).
• Available to attend a pre-hire orientation prior to starting employment.
• As a requirement of the Calgary Stampede organization, all new hired medics are to have a Calgary Stampede orientation to be able to work on the grounds, the orientation will be held on June 30th, 2025.
• Must be available for casual work with flexibility for event-based shifts and patient transport.
• Prior experience in event-based or emergency medical care is beneficial, but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Reliable access to transportation.
