About the Role

Looking for your next big opportunity? We’ve got an exciting Industrial Electrician role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to provide an electrical trade's service to Omexom, covering the full range of electrical services expected of a qualified electrician, making a real impact.

Key Accountabilities

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of industrial electrical, motor control and automation systems to support safe and reliable plant operation.
  • Diagnose and fault-find electrical, control and automation issues, implementing effective repair solutions to minimise downtime and maintain performance.
  • Inspect, test and commission electrical equipment in accordance with relevant standards, specifications and site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance plant reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site stakeholders, providing professional service and technical expertise.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with health and safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in planned shutdowns, breakdown response and on-call activities as required.
  • Contribute technical knowledge and problem-solving expertise to support the maintenance team and deliver high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Trade qualification as an Electrician with current Electrical Workers Registration and practising licence.
  • Additional electrical endorsements, certifications or specialist industry qualifications are preferred.
  • Proven experience working as an Industrial Electrician within commercial, industrial, manufacturing, processing or high-voltage environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and control system faults in operational industrial environments.
  • Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance to support plant reliability, performance and uptime.
  • Sound understanding of current electrical regulations, codes of practice and industry standards relating to prescribed electrical work.
