Electrician – EICR \& Remedial Works (Social Housing)

Location: Westminster, London
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join a well-established electrical contractor delivering EICR testing and remedial works across social housing properties throughout Westminster.

This is a permanent opportunity offering a secure workload, excellent benefits and long-term career progression. You will be working within occupied residential properties, carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), identifying defects and completing remedial works to ensure installations are compliant with current regulations.

The Role

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in occupied social housing properties.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and identifying code classifications.
• Completing remedial works following inspection reports.
• Replacing consumer units where required.
• Installing and replacing accessories including sockets, switches, lighting and smoke alarms.
• Ensuring all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
• Completing certification and electronic reports accurately.
• Maintaining excellent customer service when working in residents' homes.
• Managing your own workload and daily schedule.
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Working in line with company health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining company vehicle, tools and equipment.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• 2391 Testing \& Inspection (or equivalent 2394/2395).
• Experience carrying out EICRs within domestic properties.
• Experience completing remedial electrical works.
• Previous social housing or domestic maintenance experience is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
