A highly skilled and safety-conscious Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team in a dynamic industrial ammonia plant environment. Your primary role will be to ensure the electrical integrity, reliability, and efficiency of all plant equipment, with a strong focus on supporting our critical ammonia refrigeration systems.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a robust industrial electrical background who understands the unique demands of working with ammonia systems. You will be instrumental in minimizing downtime and maintaining a safe, compliant operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance \& Repair
- Perform routine, preventive, and emergency electrical maintenance on all plant equipment, including high-speed machinery and PLC-controlled processes.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues on AC drives, MCCs Panels, sensors, and control circuits.
- Read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics, blueprints, PLC ladder logic, and technical diagrams.
- PLC \& Controls Expertise:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor programming changes on PLCs, HMIs, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Understand and work with industrial communication protocols and networked devices.
Ammonia Refrigeration Support
- Provide dedicated electrical support for the plant's industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, which is critical for maintaining operational stability.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and accurately document all work orders and maintenance activities in the CMMS.
Requirements:
- Minimum IT or diploma equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or Electrical Technician.
- Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
- Direct experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and their associated electrical controls.
- Proficiency in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
