The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities at project sites. The role ensures that all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, international standards, client requirements, and HSE regulations. The Electrical Supervisor manages manpower, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure timely project completion while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Oil \& Gas, EPC, construction, shutdown, or maintenance projects.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day electrical construction activities at the project site.
- Coordinate installation of cable trays, conduits, power and control cables, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, panels, lighting systems, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, project specifications, and international standards.
- Allocate manpower, tools, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity.
- Monitor work progress and ensure activities are completed according to the project schedule.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, planning, and commissioning teams.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements and permit-to-work procedures.
- Inspect completed work before QA/QC inspections and client walk-downs.
- Identify and resolve site issues to minimize delays and improve efficiency.
- Verify material availability and coordinate timely delivery to site.
- Supervise electrical testing activities, including insulation resistance, continuity, grounding, and functional testing.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Maintain daily progress reports, manpower records, and work completion documentation.
- Ensure compliance with QatarEnergy, client, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate electricians, chargehands, and technicians.
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates to management.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with applicable electrical codes, company procedures, and quality standards.
Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
