Position: Electrical Engineer

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will design, supervise, and maintain electrical systems for construction, industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Qatar's regulations and international engineering standards.

What You'll Do?

• Design electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare electrical drawings, load calculations, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Review project plans for compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and applicable electrical codes.
• Supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams during project execution.
• Inspect electrical works and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, method statements, and project documentation.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource utilization.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), IEC standards, and other applicable electrical codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, or similar electrical design software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.

Preferred

• Experience on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and preventive mainttenance practices.
• UPDA/MMUP certification or membership with a recognized engineering body is an advantage.
